LeBaron Pettaway

LeBaron Pettaway earned the respect of players, coaches, and fellow officials through his professionalism, calm demeanor, and exceptional communication skills. A Gold Whistle Award recipient, he represented the KBOA at the Girls State Tournament in 2001, 2002, and 2004, and at the All-A State Tournament in 2003, 2004, and 2005.

LeBaron worked especially well with young athletes—patient, encouraging, and always in control. He was known as a gentleman on the floor and a gentleman in the community, carrying himself with integrity in every aspect of his life.

His steady presence, strong communication, and genuine respect for the game make his legacy a lasting part of the KBOA.
